PLEASE NOTE: The Maine Turnpike recently completed its 2004 Maine Interstate Redesignation. This project affects driving directions to Sunday River as follows:

1) Previously, the Maine Turnpike was designated as I-95 from the NH boarder to South Portland, then continued north as I-495. Under the new system, the Turnpike is designated as I-95 for its entire length. The I-495 designation on older maps is now outdated.

2) The numbering system for exits has changed to label exits by mileage rather than numerical order. The exit for Sunday River / Route 26 in Gray, Maine has changed from Exit 11 to Exit 63. The redesignated #63 is based on the mileage from the start of the Turnpike.

You can find additional information and details on the Maine Turnpike's web site.
